A little history about the name.... When I first found out I was pregnant I thought I was having a girl. I had a bunch of girl names picked out, and ready to use, and then we found out we were having a boy. The lab tech ask if we had picked out any boy names. Well now we need to go back a bit further.... When Ruth and Grandpa Moore were still alive, Ruth and her family where visiting Grandpa while she was pregnant with Audrey. He really wanted someone named after him. He tried to convince Ruth to name Audrey Edward, and call her Eddie, and no one would ever know her really name was Edward. Ruth just couldn't do it, she felt really bad, and wished she was having a boy so she could. So when I found out I was pregnant I thought well there is Edwina, or Edna, and call her Eddie, but I just couldn't sell it to Trevor.....So when the tech ask if I had thought of any boy names, I hadn't, but then I knew what I had to do...just that quick. His name would be Edward, and when I said Edward, Stephen followed so naturally.
Edward Stephen carries the name of 2 great and amazing people. I didn't know my grandpa very well, but as I hear my mom and Patty, and others talk about him I can tell he had an amazing since of humor, was a hard worker, and most important he loved to fish. Stephen is my younger brother, and I remember a lot of fun things watching him grow up. He was about 12 when I got married, so I missed out on the more fun years, but heard a lot of stories and saw a lot of pictures. He like all of my brothers is a very amazing person in his own unique way. He is a hard worker, and plays even harder.
So Edward Stephen has not only the two people he was named after for great examples, but a lot of amazing Aunts, Uncles, brothers, and a sister to help and guide him as he grows up.
I love my family, and am so blessed to be apart of something so wonderful!!!
