Another New Idaho Driver

So yes Oliver took us down to the DMV and we got his drivers license. We did this so he could drive to school and to swim practice. He hasn't got his eagle yet so he won't be driving for fun.
When we got home I went to my computer and found that Oliver left himself logged into facebook. Well I couldn't just let that one go so I posted on his status that he has gotten into a major accident and wasn't allowed to drive until he could get his own insurance and his own car. Well Trevor still being at work, and is also set up to receive any updates from the kids to his phone, got this update and freaked and was calling me finding out what was going on, only to find out the biggest mistake was Oliver leaving his facebook open.

Oh ya Braden is now 15

So off to the park for Braden's birthday. There was a movie in the park tonight and the move was The Lighting Thief. So we thought we would hang out and the park and play a little and wait Then Trevor would come with food and cake , then we would watch a movie. Well we ate the food, and are watching a movie but it was a lot more exciting than that.

Playing enjoying the lovely park and beautiful day

finding entertainment where they can

Oh wait whats this a few clouds and a little wind...it should be fine maybe

still finding entertainment...a very resourceful couple of boys
empty bottles and a knife what harm could come.

Edward loving the park he was good and had a great time

Oliver so did not want to be there

still having fun and eating waiting for the movie

The park is filling up lots of people

Time for cake....it was yum. I wish I would have had more time to decorate it but it tasted good!
Ollie and I went over to the rose garden and walked around..It was nice, but not as nice as the time I went there with mom.
Well the skies are getting dark, it is not just the sun going down. The movie must go on. We wait and while we were waiting there was a band playing it was nice to enjoy the music in the park eat and enjoy the day with Braden and his friends.

Well the storm won out 70 mph winds lighting and rain....we went home. While at the park there was a raffle we entered into and both Trevor and Braden won a copy of the move with a water jug, and t-shirt. Yup with two copies of the movie it was time for a random act.....hum with so many people who to give it to. We packed up and headed back to the cars...on the way back Trevor over heard some parents telling their kids that they would just go home and watch a movie. The kids hadn't seen this movie yet and they really wanted to watch it and ask if they could go to a video store and rent it. The parents said no there wasn't time. So Trevor gave them his copy and let them know we had 2 copies and there was no way we could watch them both at the same time and they should take one. Yes that really made their day or I guess night.
On the way home, Oliver, me and Edward were in the van, and Trevor took the other boys with him. Oliver was driving, and all of the sudden the storm hit....power out.....fires everywhere....police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances. I am so glad to be home. We had the boys call their parents and see if they could just stay over here tonight....I really didn't want to go back out there again tonight. The parents agreed so Braden's birthday party just got extended.

So the other night I was looking through Edward's pictures and was amazed at how much he has changed since he was born. So I thought I would put this together since I am not so good with words here are some pictures. Just a side note when Adrienne was talking in the last video she had ask Stephen to call her if he was free to go on a group date.....well she lost her phone so how could he call......and well on this date she met a different guy. OH well.

Life's little up and downs

My mom ask me to share how faith got me through life's little ups and downs so I thought it was blog worthy.

I have always tried to look life right in the face and shout bring it on I can take it!!! My life's motto's are many but one was if you aren't making dust you are eating it. Another was how much can I get away with and still go to heaven.....then life happened.

Before I knew it I was married with a baby on the way. The day they (the doctor) put that little girl in my arms was very humbling and for the first time in my life I had no idea what to do. When they were sending me home with her I felt really strong they should send someone to check on me, but you know they don't do stuff like that. At that you are on your own, well not really you have your family and your faith. I think the only way to learn is to experience it, so yes you can say I always learn the hard way, and I am always making some really stupid choices. My parents have loved me through it all, and never said I told you so, they are just there to pick us up when we fall. We have also had some trials come our way that I felt were just not fair, and what in the world did I do to deserve this. It took me awhile but I did turn to my Heavenly father for help. It is really hard when you are in the middle of it all to see the big picture because you are in the middle of the whirling wind, and at time you can barely see it to the next minute. I think the hardest lesson I had to learn is one step at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time. What we do with the next minute matters more that what we did with the last. The saying goes hind site is 20/20. If I had it to do all over again I don't think I would change a thing. It still hurts a lot to see my parents hurt, but I am glad they let me see it. It killed me to watch my daughter go through 2 near death experiences, and say if given the choice she would choose to stay here and go through it. At one point late at night or early in the morning as I was helping her to stand up we both started singing

"If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there"

All I can say is just keep on going, write down your daily experiences, read your scriptures, keep praying and you will have the strength to see it through. You won't know when your on the up side until you are on the way back down, but just keep track of the daily triumphs. I remember one day when I noticed little tiny pebble shadows on my walk, and that was the only good thing of that day....so now my motto is remember the pebble shadows, family is the most important, and everything else will fall into place. I know with out a doubt I couldn't have gotten this far in life (4 kids and still married) if it hadn't been for faith and knowledge that it wouldn't be easy but it would be worth it, and one day I will be with my Heavenly Father again and I imagine it sitting with my dad, and having him call me one of his own. He knows who you are, and he loves you for every day that you get up and keep going.

And he does it again

So yes here we have it a very very happy baby. I just fed him, he had a good time eating, and he was just sitting in his chair playing with his buddies. I was sitting here reading email. Everyone is gone but me and Edward. I Just got done reading Jean Marie's amazing email when he starts crying. I turn around and pick him up. I knew he would have poppy pants, and I knew I would need to change him. He hadn't had a blow out since July 4 after the 5k, only to be followed by Sawyer. I thought that maybe since I had been feeding him sold foods the blow outs were over. Boy was I surprised. The really funny part was, I turned him around to look at the damage, then turned him back around and he just started laughing at me. What a funny kid!! Then comes the question....When does one justify tossing an outfit?
